Our fourth meeting, held Feb. 28th, 2013 at Temple University, brought more people out than ever before. For the benefit of everyone who couldn’t make it and for those of us who want to relive the fun, these summaries are being added.
The Senior Artist Initiative (SAI) is a project assists artists in understanding the need for and processes involved in organizing their life’s work. Docents and interns from member museums are paired with artists to prepare oral histories to help contextualize the artists’ work.
Beth presented about a new focus of the organization — the awareness of the archival value of artists documents. SAI Learning focuses on the importance of proper care and maintenance of personal papers and documentation.
